The Last AVATAR

I finally did it! I saw AVATAR.

Well actually I saw the beginning and I saw the end. As for the middle, I can't say I remember a thing. That's probably because that nap I so needed overrode the need to watch green and blue men fight for their planet.

My husband has been raving about this movie for months. "As soon as it comes on DVD, I'm buying it." He would say.

Of course as we walked into Walmart this weekend for a casual shopping experience, guess what was there to greet us? (Aside from the Walmart greeter).

That's right. A kiosk filled to the brim with AVATAR DVD's.

"Sure Honey, put it in the cart." How could I possibly say know. Not to mention he was being helped by my sons who just mastered "puppy dog eyes." It was three against one.

Like a typical Mother I thought of all the other things that could be bought with the $24.99 that was spent on a movie instead. But how can I complain? Surely if I had brought everyone to the theaters to see this Gem, I would have easily been out 100 bucks. So technically, I saved around $75. Or at least that is what my husband would lead me to believe.

So what did you think of the beginning and end of Avatar? This is one of those movies that I really don't feel like watching, but Hubby is waiting for it to be released on DVD down here in Mexico. And since he sits through a ton of romantic comedies for me, I'm going to do my best to sit through Avatar! :)

And it is not a nice day when the kiddies learn to do the "puppy dog eyes". If only they could use their power for good! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and commenting.

SO glad to know I am not the only one that falls asleep while watching Movies. I've even been known to fall asleep at the theater!! Opps!!

I saw Avatar at the theater and was pleasantly surprised. Not my typical kind of movie but after all it was a love story!

Thanks for helping my celebrate my SITS day and for being a faithful follower! I'd love to have you comment more often and I promise to return the favor!!

I went in thinking negatively about the movie, but ended up loving it. It's quite beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by on my SITS day. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I too saw Avatar. HeMan Hubby bought it for family night. Of course by the time the Caps vs. Montreal game ended it was too late for a 3 hour movie for the kids, so we watched it in bed. I remember the beginning. And the end. Somewhere in the middle I think my snores were a bit loud cuz the increased volume woke me.
Basically I felt it was 'Last of the Mohicans' on an alien planet.
An age-old story seen time again throughout history.
Only with better effects.

We still haven't seen it.

And just think how much blogging you can sneak in while hubby and kids are watching that movie over and over... Definitely worth $24.99, right?
