My 10 year old Pontiac Grand Am was starting to nickel and dime us to death with constant repairs, so he decided to pull money out and pay cash for a vehicle so we wouldn't have to deal car payments. I didn't want a mommy van, I wanted something like the Honda Odyssey...but I didn't want to disappoint his excitement when he 'surprised' me with his purchase of the Dodge Grand Caravan. I still would rather have something like the Honda Odyssey. I'm hoping at some point I can do a straight-across trade at a dealership for one to continue the pleasure of no monthly car payments...fingers crossed! ;) I'll be curious to see what you decide on and how you like it - I'm still virtually shopping for the replacement to the mommy van...(grin!!!)Stacy Uncorkedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10084619026794128825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8709785494600787529.post-75746555136236385362009-04-21T23:30:00.000-04:002009-04-21T23:30:00.000-04:00I want to be you when I grow up.
I aspire to be o...I want to be you when I grow up.

I aspire to be organized and controlled, but I usually end up, well, pretty much like your last two days.

I too have to cast a vote for the Honda Odyssey. When we had our third munchkin we knew the old Hyundai Sonata (wanna talk about a piece of CRAP??!!!) wasn't going to cut it any more.

In an uncharacteristic move, I researched the heck out of this decision before making any snap decisions based strictly on price.

I came up with the top runners being the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna.

I would have happily taken either one - but since my budget was limited we had to go used. Yes, I could have gotten a brand new Caravan or Town & Country - but after all research was done, decide I would rather suck it up and buy a used Honda or Toyota, that's how VERY FAR SUPERIOR they are.

And the day we looked, there was one Toyota Sienna available and it was literally sold from under my test driving nose.

I now am the proud owner of a beloved 2004 Honda Odyssey. I do not regret it.

You would not go wrong with either the Honda or Toyota.Irishembihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10479794874945316072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8709785494600787529.post-12518425152655687452009-04-21T14:49:00.000-04:002009-04-21T14:49:00.000-04:00Our honda is a little workhorse, you can't go wron...Our honda is a little workhorse, you can't go wrong. It doesn't dent, it's needed no repairs other than the standard oil, wipers and new tires and one brake job... that's it. I think I might die before the car does, which is scary. It's not much to look at but it does it's job very well ;)Kathy B!https://www.blogger.com/profile/13932652254033295435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8709785494600787529.post-37331829332314794962009-04-20T21:13:00.000-04:002009-04-20T21:13:00.000-04:00I too am a planner.
